Our Pastry Chef Lisa Raffael has earned scores of accolades, most recently being featured in Brides's Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful Cakes issue, being voted 2007 and 2006 CBS A-LIST Best of Boston wedding cake, two award winning appearances on the Food Network Cake Challenges, and inclusion in the nationally recognized book The Perfect Wedding Details by Maria McBride. Bride’s Magazine also chose Raffael to participate in the Cake Walk at Grand Central, an event that highlighted the top 50 wedding cake designers in the country.
With Lisa’s prestigious training background and devotion to remaining on top of industry trends, it’s no surprise she’s garnered so much attention. Currently teaching professional baking at The Cambridge School of Culinary Arts, Lisa has earned degrees from the Boston University School of Management, the Cambridge School of Culinary Art, The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY and the International School of Confectionary Arts in Gaithersburg, MD. She’s trained with the best, including worldwide corporate pastry chef of the Ritz Carlton Hotels and one of Saveur Magazine’s “10 Star Chocolate Makers,” Norman Love, a world renowned chocolatier, owner of Norman Love Confections, and internationally acclaimed cake designer and best selling author, Colette Peters. Lisa is also a member of the Culinary Guild of New England.
Lisa not only brings these talents to her brides and grooms, she also lends her expertise to corporate clients through on-site staff training and consulting services.
